Maria received her Master’s Degree in 1996 from NYU in Dance Education. Maria, an amateur dancer, started her Pilates journey in 1993 while studying at NYU. Devoted to teaching Classical Pilates, Maria was certified by Romana’s Pilates in September 2001. Maria trained under Romana Kryzanowska, Sari Mejia Santo, Ton Voogt and Michael Fritzke at Drago’s Gym on 57th Street in New York City.
After getting certified in New York City, Maria headed to Vienna, Austria where she taught Pilates at ballet and modern dance conservatories and Beer’s Fitness Studio. Maria has trained professional dancers, athletes, singers, teens, seniors, and health minded individuals alike.
Maria is a Bergen County Native and moved back in 2006. She then opened The Pilates Stance LLC in Emerson, NJ. She has continued teaching in Bergen County ever since!
Maria the proud mother of two. She instills in her children a love of nature and the importance of being active and fit to enjoy a healthy life, strong mind and a happy heart!
